I had a passion rush when I discovered chikankari in Lucknow in 1976. My inquisitive mind wanted to learn how, just one shade of natural thread, could liven up, natural tone base of simple fabric! The simplicity of sustainable approach to embroidery was fascination in itself!

I, as a kid, leant towards crafting and stitching fabric. I was curious to understand the drape and hold of a fabric to contour my body. As a teenager, the influence of Bollywood Queens, Zeenat Aman, Parveen Babi, Neetu Singh as well as my idolsl Sophia Loren and Audrey Hepburn led me to understand the tone of fashion.
