In the realm of traditional hand embroideries, few art forms can match the elegance and intricacy of Chikankari and Kamdani. These exquisite embroidery styles originate from the heartland of India, particularly Lucknow, and have gained worldwide acclaim for their breathtaking beauty.
Chikankari: A Delicate Dance of Stitches
Chikankari, a revered embroidery technique, involves the
creation of intricate patterns on fabric using white cotton threads, resulting
in a delicate, shadow-like effect. Chikankari
motifs are inspired by nature, including flowers, leaves, vines, and birds.
Kamdani: The Enchanting Threadwork
Kamdani is a form of
hand embroidery that showcases the brilliance of metallic threads. It involves
the meticulous stitching of silver or gold threads onto the fabric, which gives
rise to a shimmering effect making it a popular choice for festive and
ceremonial wear.

London's fashion scene has always been a melting pot of
cultures and ideas, and this collection beautifully embraces this diversity.
As an ode to the very beginning in my fashion journey in London 1983, I decided to create the LDN capsule collection.
You’ll find London Icons across the fabrics and accessories and thanks to the collaboration with two acclaimed artists, Sba Sheikh and Jitender Sandhu, the collection has come to life.
